KEY MESSAGES ON DISPLACEMENT AND OTHER FORMS OF HUMAN MOBILITY FOR THE SEVENTH MEETING OF THE BOARD OF THE FUND FOR RESPONDING TO LOSS AND DAMAGE

The seventh meeting of the Board (B7) of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD / Fund) will take place from 7 to 9 of October, 2025, in Manila, in the Republic of the Philippines. At B7 the Board will work to operationalise the start up phase of the Fund the—Barbados Implementation Modalities (BIM).
This document provides key messages on human mobility including displacement to ensure the needs and priorities of migrants, refugees, and displaced people in all developing countries are adequately considered in the operationalization of the BIM. Key messages on meaningful participation of these groups in all relevant processes and decisions are also provided. A shorter summary for policy makers is also available here.
