This event, which took place during the 2023 Bonn Climate Conference (SB 58), highlights how Indigenous Peoples are severely impacted by climate change yet have had few opportunities to dialogue with bodies addressing Loss and Damage, such as the WIM. This roundtable intended to exchange views, experiences, and information to build mutual understanding and enable effective engagement.

Speakers:

Representatives of the Indigenous Peoples’ Constituency from 7 socio-cultural regions, relevant experts, and WIM members will participate in a dialogue to share information and develop recommendations for the inclusion of Indigenous Peoples’ expertise in relevant Loss and Damage processes
