KEY MESSAGES ON LOSS AND DAMAGE FOR COP 30

The thirtieth  Conference of the Parties (COP 30), seventh Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 7), and the sixty third session of the Subsidiary Bodies of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Belém, Brazil, from 10 to 21 November 2025. Key items on the agenda of COP 30, CMA 7, SBI 63 and SBSTA 63 relevant to Loss and Damage include:

Negotiations 

• COP 30 agenda item 7, CMA 7 agenda item 9, SBI 63 agenda item 14, SBSTA 63 agenda item 6: Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) associated with Climate Change Impacts.
