The sixth meeting (B6) of the Board of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD) will take place from 9 to 11 of July, 2025 in Cebu, Republic of the Philippines  (the documents will be found here and the webcast here). The provisional agenda, includes important issues including:

  • Operationalising the Barbados Implementation Modalities (BIM);
  • Establishment of the new, dedicated and independent Secretariat: organisational structure of the Secretariat;
  • Long-term resource mobilisation strategy and plan to mobilise financial resources;
  • Performance management process for the Executive Director; and;
  • Matters related to active observers and other stakeholders.

The following key messages, which will continue to be updated, respond to agenda items 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12  and 13 for B6 and build upon and/or situate recommendations from our  membership and our work to date on the FRLD.
