KEY MESSAGES FOR THE FIFTH MEETING OF THE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE SANTIAGO NETWORK FOR LOSS AND DAMAGE

The fifth meeting of the Advisory Board (SNAB 5) of the Santiago Network for Loss and Damage (Santiago Network) will take place from 2 to 4 September 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland.The provisional agenda covers many important topics for the effective operation of the Santiago Network including: 

  • Operationalisation of the Santiago network:
    • Membership of the Santiago network
    • Catalysing technical assistance
    • Managing funding provided for technical assistance
  • Strategies of the Santiago network:
    • Santiago network strategy 
    • Communications strategy 
    • Outreach strategy 
    • Resource mobilization strategy 
  • Work programme of the Santiago network 2026-27
  • Collaboration with the WIM Executive Committee and with the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage

The following key messages respond to provisional agenda items 3-12 building upon an extensive body of work as part of the L&DC’s Santiago Network Project.
