Key Messages for the Eighth Meeting of the Board of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD B8)

The eighth meeting of the Board (B8) of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD) will take place from 22 - 24 April in Livingstone, Zambia, which will be preceded by a one-day informal meeting on 21 April. The provisional agenda includes some important issues, including, but not limited to:

  • Recommendations on the management of the commitment authority
  • Operationalisation of the Barbados Implementation Modalities
    • Pipeline status report
    • Assessment methodology
    • Results measurement framework
    • Oversight fee policy
  • Country Support System
  • Updated work plan of the Board
  • Development of the resource mobilisation strategy
  • Second high-level dialogue
  • Dialogue with civil society
  • Dates and Venues of the Board in 2027

The following key messages, which will continue to be updated, respond to agenda items 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 and 16. It is built upon recommendations from the L&DC’s membership and work to date on the FRLD.
