DIALOGUE HIGHLIGHTS THE LIVED EXPERIENCES OF CLIMATE-INDUCED LOSS AND DAMAGE IN TONGA

This publication reports on a national dialogue held in Tonga in July 2025, where stakeholders from different sectors shared their lived experiences of climate-induced loss and damage. It highlights how climate change is causing physical, emotional, cultural, and economic harm to communities, including mental health impacts, displacement, and disrupted livelihoods. The dialogue aims to deepen understanding, guide Tonga’s national priorities, and support efforts to measure and address loss and damage, including advocating for international financial support.
