Daily policy updates for the sixth meeting of the Advisory Board of the Santiago Network (SNAB 6)

The sixth meeting of the Advisory Board (SNAB 6) of the Santiago Network for averting, minimising and addressing loss and damage (Santiago Network) takes place from 24 to 26 March 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland, preceded by a closed Advisory Board-only informal meeting on 23 March.

The provisional agenda covers many important topics, including:

  • Operationalisation of the Santiago Network:
    • Membership of the Santiago Network
    • Catalysing technical assistance
  • Additional procedures for the participation of Observers: Recommendations from the Task Force on Outreach
  • Santiago Network Results Framework
  • Complementarity and coherence
    • Collaboration with the WIM Executive Committee, including on terms of reference for the regular report on loss and damage pursuant to Decision -/CP.30 -/CMA.7.
    • Collaboration with the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage, including on the country support system pursuant to Decision B.7/D.8.

This living document will provide live updates on all of the agenda items discussed at SNAB 6 and once the meeting has closed, an overview of what was agreed.
