Daily policy updates for the seventh meeting of the Advisory Board of the Santiago Network (SNAB 7)

The seventh meeting of the Advisory Board (SNAB 7) of the Santiago Network for averting, minimising and addressing loss and damage (Santiago Network) will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, with an informal Advisory Board-only meeting taking place on 28 September.

The agenda covers many important topics, including:

• Operationalisation of the Santiago Network and revision of its guidelines, including on catalysing technical assistance, membership, and the minimum percentage of technical assistance directed to communities particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change;
• The Santiago Network monitoring, evaluation, and learning framework;
• The Santiago Network gender and inclusion action plan;
• Terms of reference for the regular report on loss and damage;
• Budgetary matters, including the status of resources, budget execution, and the 2027 annual budget; and
• The annual report of the Santiago Network to the governing body or bodies.
