Daily Policy Updates for the 24th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage

The twenty-fourth meeting of the Executive Committee (ExCom 24) of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) under the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC / Convention) is taking place from 28 April to 1 May 2026 in Bonn, Germany. The provisional annotated agenda covers a range of key issues, with relevant documents available on the meeting webpage:
- Preparation of voluntary guidelines for enhancing collection and management of data and information to inform the preparation of biennial transparency reports (BTRs);
- How the latest climate science can inform policy-making relevant to averting, minimising, and addressing loss and damage;
- Work related to the ExCom’s expert groups;
- Cross-cutting activities of the second five-year rolling workplan; and
- Collaboration with the Advisory Board of the Santiago Network and the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD).
This living document will provide live updates on all of the agenda items discussed at ExCom 24 and once the meeting has closed, an overview of what was agreed.
