Daily Policy Updates for the 24th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage

The twenty-fourth meeting of the Executive Committee (ExCom 24) of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) under the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC / Convention) is taking place from 28 April to 1 May 2026 in Bonn, Germany. The provisional annotated agenda covers a range of key issues, with relevant documents available on the meeting webpage:

• Preparation of voluntary guidelines for enhancing collection and management of data and information to inform the preparation of biennial transparency reports (BTRs);
• How the latest climate science can inform policy-making relevant to averting, minimising, and addressing loss and damage;
• Work related to the ExCom’s expert groups;
• Cross-cutting activities of the second five-year rolling workplan; and
• Collaboration with the Advisory Board of the Santiago Network and the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD).
