In 2024 the Loss and Damage Collaboration (L&DC), undertook its second mapping of global Loss and Damage activities.

This year's report, which analyses the activities of 110 organisations, individuals, movements, and initiatives, builds upon the mapping work we undertook in 2023 and once again highlights who is doing what on Loss and Damage, what challenges there are when undertaking to undertaking Loss and Damage work, and importantly, what gaps remain.

The goal of this new mapping work is to help the L&DC and all other actors  working on Loss and Damage to avoid duplication and build upon each other's efforts, while helping to enable actors to discover ways to collaborate more effectively.

The L&DC aims to carry out this mapping work on a biannual basis. The next call for responses will start in the autumn of 2024.
