Mia Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, makes a speech at the Opening of the COP26 World Leaders Summit of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.

In her speech Prime Minister Mottley powerfully drew attention to the injustice that the nation's least responsible for the climate face in relation to the impact climate change induced loss and damage is having on nations in the Global South and the lack of finance forthcoming to address it.

“Failure to provide the critical finance — and that of loss and damage — is measured, my friends, in lives and livelihoods in our communities. This is immoral, and it is unjust.”
